A Cooperative Project by Libraries and Museums of China: Metadata Standards for the Digital Preservation of Cultural Heritage

Abstract

This poster introduces a project that aims to build metadata standards for digital preservation of cultural heritage and plans to begin in this year. Research and demonstration will be made by collaborative effort among seven libraries and museums. The objectives focus on the demands for business management, digitization, management of digital content, long-term preservation of digital content, and the establishment of a knowledge database for cultural heritage.
