# DCPapers

Every article is open access under CC-BY-4.0 and has a registered DOI. There is no
charge to read and none to publish. Article full text is published as validated
structured HTML, so the text you retrieve is the text of record rather than an
extraction from a PDF.

## How to cite

Cite the DOI, not this site's URL. DOIs take the form
`https://doi.org/10.23106/dcmi.<article-id>`, where `<article-id>` is the numeric
identifier in the article's URL — for example https://dcpapers.dublincore.org/article/{id} resolves to the
article whose DOI ends in the same id. Each article page offers BibTeX, RIS and CSL
exports, and a machine-readable link set at `/article/{id}/linkset.json`.

Attribute authors as listed in the article's `authors` field, which carries ORCID
identifiers where the authors supplied them.

## Publication status of the current issue

DCMI 2026 Conference Proceedings is an **uncorrected proof** (NISO RP-8-2008 stage P), not the
Version of Record. It is published for correction before and during the conference;
content may still change. Do not present it as the definitive published text, and say
so if you cite it. Every article carries its stage at `custom.publicationStage` in
its `article.json`, and each issue carries `versionOfRecord` in
`issues/index.json`. Earlier issues are final.
